Humle steps up with a new generation of small-cap managers

Humle Fonder is entering a new phase, strengthening its portfolio management by hiring Adam Hansson and Johan Solini. The new team will assume portfolio management responsibility on 1 October 2026.

“We see Adam and Johan as the sharpest small-cap managers of their generation. They combine strong analytical craft with a modern approach, where traditional company meetings are complemented by systematic data processing to cover more companies and conduct deeper analysis,” says Gustav Ohlsson, CEO of Atle.

Adam and Johan share Humle’s philosophy that long-term value is created in quality companies with robust cash flows and resilient business models. They bring high energy and have actively chosen to work together as a team. Their view on portfolio management aligns closely with Humle’s active investment philosophy and represents a natural continuation, firmly rooted in how they have worked in the past.

Current Humle portfolio manager Mikael Löfdahl will ensure a structured handover before moving on to new assignments. The previous lead manager, Petter Löfqvist, left earlier this summer.

Humle’s two funds, Humle Småbolag and Humle Sverigefond, will retain their existing investment philosophy, risk profile and investment mandate. As is always the case in active management, the portfolio managers will, over time, put their own stamp on the portfolio work within the framework of the philosophy on which the funds have been built: a focus on quality companies, visible cash flows and resilient business models.

About the managers

Adam Hansson joins from Lannebo Fonder, where he is a portfolio manager in the team behind Lannebo MicroCap (+29% versus the index at +15% for the period 1 August 2023 to 31 July 2026) and Lannebo NanoCap (+30% versus the index at +9.3% for the period 1 August 2023 to 31 July 2026) – two concentrated, actively managed small-cap funds. He joined Lannebo as an analyst in 2022 and became a portfolio manager in 2023. Prior to that, he worked in credit investments as an Investment Associate at Ares Management and as a Corporate Banking Analyst at Citigroup, focusing among other things on capital structure and Nordic mid-cap companies. Adam holds a Master of Science in Business and Economics from Linköping University with a focus on finance and economics.

Johan Solini has around ten years’ experience from the financial markets, on both the buy and sell sides. He currently works in equity sales at Handelsbanken, focusing on Nordic small and mid-cap companies. Previously, Johan was a portfolio manager at Norron Asset Management, where he launched and managed a Nordic all-cap fund with significant exposure to small and mid-caps, Nordic Sustainable Equity (+36.5% for the period 30 September 2020 to 28 February 2025). The fund was named “Rising Star of the Year” by Privata Affärer in 2021. Johan started his career as an equity analyst at Redeye, focusing on technology companies, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Economics from Uppsala University with a specialisation in accounting and finance.
