ALCUR Named Hedge Fund of the Year 2024
The ALCUR fund has been awarded Hedge Fund of the Year 2024 by Privata Affärer. This marks the fourth time the fund has won in the Alternative Investment of the Year category—a highly consistent achievement.
The Jury's Motivation for This Year's Win:
"Alcur once again demonstrates top-tier performance in generating strong returns relative to risk through active management."
The 2024 results show a return of 6.7% with a standard deviation of 2.9%, leading to a high Sharpe ratio (a measure of risk-adjusted return) of 1.6—significantly outperforming the other nominated funds.
Outlook for 2025:
Portfolio manager Johan Klevby sees many attractive opportunities for 2025, particularly in Swedish small-cap stocks. He highlights three stocks with strong potential:
- Securitas: Despite a strong performance in 2024, the fund sees further upside.
- Alm Brand: The Danish insurance company is expected to show strong profit growth.
- Inwido: Improved demand and potential acquisitions could drive earnings growth.
"We continue to focus on active management, and a key part of our process is continuous improvement. We have some exciting projects underway that I believe will provide new, valuable tools in our daily work. Additionally, we have some ideas for new funds, which we look forward to discussing closer to their launch," says Johan Klevby to Privata Affärer.
Alcur has been named Fund of the Year in Privata Affärer's alternative category for 2024, as well as three consecutive years from 2020 to 2022.
Alcur Fonder has been part of Atle since 2018.
