First Veritas Fund Recognized for Strong Long-Term Performance
The Nordic equity fund First Veritas, managed by First Fondene, has been highlighted by the Norwegian business newspaper Dagens Næringsliv for its strong long-term results, which clearly challenge passive investment alternatives.
First Veritas has delivered an average annual return of 17.85% for five consecutive years—making it the only Nordic fund to outperform a global index fund, according to Dagens Næringsliv.
Behind this success is Thomas Nielsen and his "Quality at a Reasonable Price" strategy—a method for identifying stable, profitable companies at reasonable valuations.
"Many argue that the Nordic market and a global index cannot be compared. But the fact is, a global index fund is our biggest competitor. If we can't consistently outperform it over time, there's no reason for investors to choose us," says Nielsen.
First Fondene has been part of Atle since 2024.
